Bi Dos Two is an exhibition produced by the eremuak programme, featuring artists selected through an open call.
Bi Dos Two highlights recent projects by artists whose work is related to the Basque context because of its origin or area of influence. Through a selection of different works and projects (comprising sculpture, painting, drawing, installation, video, sound works and performances), it seeks to activate public reception of some of the practices and tendencies in the Basque Country, and to provide a glimpse of a certain spirit of the times. Different generations of artists are represented in the exhibition, whose training as artists has followed a wide variety of paths and interests; notwithstanding these differences, their relationship to their particular time and context brings connections into play that shine a revealing light onto the current context.
Works for this exhibition were selected by eremuak‘s Technical Commission, members of which are Iñaki Imaz, Pello Irazu and Leire Vergara, with Itziar Okariz representing the local context, and Emily Pethick (director of The Showroom, London) as an external guest.
