(Andoain, 1975). She combines her artistic practice with art teaching and research. She is the recipient of several grants and national and international awards and has exhibited in art centres including the Venetian Arsenal, the Contemporary Art Space in Montevideo, the Angel Oresanz Foundation in New York, the Montehermoso Cultural Centre in Gasteiz and Kultuhuset in Stockholm, amongst others.
Through Deseret haretatik (From the Deseret Sands. From That Desert) the landscape takes on a new role. The work takes a trip through the archaeology of the signs of certain discrete linguistic experiments, within the official telling of the story. The former place the latter before the ha-ha wall, a landscape element which creates a vertical barrier whilst keeping visual obstruction to a minimum.
