ania bas

(born in 1981, in Poland) is an artist. Her art focuses on social themes, dialogue and interdisciplinary issues and is inspired by daily life. Bas researches connections between places and people and her work is given shape by events, texts, performances and actions. She works with groups and individuals, companies, schools, galleries and markets. Bas has been resident artist at the Whitechapel Gallery in London, Yorkshire Artspace in Sheffield, The New Art Gallery Walsall and Ridley Road Market in London. Currently she is one of the partners of the Open School East.
