armar + bill clarke
The Artistic Exchange Cabeza de Hacha (Axe head) is a collaboration between ARMAR (Bilbao, Spain, 2013) and Bill Clarke (Toronto, Canada, 1968), who act as curators and project programming facilitators.
ARMAR, Association for Contemporary Art Creation and Research, is registered in the Associations Registry of the Basque Government and the University of the Basque Country with the aim of creating, researching and promoting art. Likewise, it seeks to generate spaces and activities that allow artistic practice to be explored from a collective viewpoint and enrich the press the research of its members.
Bill Clarke is a writer and critic based in Toronto. He writes for the art magazines ARTnews (New York), Canadian Art (Toronto), Modern Painters (New York) and Art Review (London), and is currently editor of Magenta Magazine.
