Gerard Borràs

He studied documentary filmmaking at ESCAC and worked as an assistant at the contemporary art gallery Ethall (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona) between 2019 and 2021. Since then, he edits films and assists artists with production processes and exhibition mounting. He is a resident artist at Hangar, Barcelona (2026-2027). His practice seeks to provide a commentary, both formal and conceptual, on image editing; the limits and social powers of the archive; the translation of formats; and the concepts of accompaniment and collective work.
