gheada art study

Gheada is a multi-disciplinary art studio founded by Raquel Durán and Rut Briones that specialises in immersive, interactive, and performative experiences. They are currently developing cultural projects in which technology and handicraft converge to serve an enveloping narrative and offer multi-layered sensory experiences.

They work in diverse fields on a national and international level: visual arts, light festivals, theatre, video mapping, art exhibitions, documentaries, and an endless list of formats. Since its creation, Gheada has produced projects for Centro Botín, Bilbao 700 III Millenium Fundazioa, Arriaga Antzokia, the Bilbao City Council, La Dramática Errante, Kabia Teatro, and Horman Poster, among other entities. Festival Proyector de Madrid, Centro Botín, Premio Auditorio de Galicia, and Galerie Lisi Hämmerle, and has been awarded grants from the BilbaoArte Fundazioa, Kunsthaus Bregenz (Austria), the Basque Government, and Centro Cultural Montehermoso, among others.
