Laida Zapre & Ane Lusarreta

Xerra espazioa is a project created by Laida Zapre and Ane Lusarreta Ezkurdia (Donostia, 1991). With backgrounds in audiovisual communication, journalism, photography, screenwriting, and graphic design, they worked together for many years in the newsroom of EiTB Kultura. Since 2023, they have been operating under the name Xerra estudioa. Their work focuses on graphic design, communication strategies, video, and photography, with a particular emphasis on projects related to culture and contemporary art. They also collaborate with various institutions and collectives, combining documentation, curating, and production work, through the Basque language and a transfeminist perspective. In 2025, they opened Xerra espazioa in Zaldibar, an open and self-managed space for exhibitions, workshops, screenings, and artistic residencies.
