Lide Billelabeitia Uriarte

Lide Billelabeitia Uriarte (Mungia-2001) graduated in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country. She works in audiovisual, sculptural and photographic forms. Her works explore the notion of landscape through deconstructive and performative processes in which special attention is paid to materiality. Her work Erein, developed with the Ikasiker grant (2020/21), was selected for the Ertibil-2022 exhibition and for the feminist culture festival Feministaldia. It was screened at Tabakalera (Donostia) and at the Artium Museum (Gasteiz). In 2023 she was selected as an artist-in-residence in Kurdistan for the Moving Artist program. In 2024 her film Çiyayên Dur was screened at the Zinebi (Bilbao) and InfinitoSuper8 (Buenos Aires) festivals, and in a workshop at the MACBA (Barcelona).
