Maite Pinto is a multidisciplinary artist with a degree in Art by the UPV/EHU and the Manchester School of Art (UK). Her artistic practice addresses the theme of memory and identity through the recreation of images from family, historical and journalistic archives, seeking to universalise and share intimate documents. Through her artistic practice she explores the archives using graphic techniques that enable her to reflect on memory and its evanescence. She has participated in national and international exhibitions and residencies, and has currently started the Doctoral Contemporary Art Research programme at the UPV/EHU.
