Miren Arenzana
Bilbao 1965
She studied Fine Arts at the UPV Leioa, specializing in sculpture, and MARCA Design projects in London. Lives in London and Marseille, and currently resides in Bilbao. Initially focused on sculpture and drawing, her work asserts its value through irony and the symbolic use of found objects, using materials and production methods that allow for second readings, such as embroidery and production methods typical of industry or design. In her work, the use of color has gained importance over the years, oscillating toward the poetic and conceptual synthesis of work situated between sculpture and the space that surrounds us. Searching at the borders between disciplines allows her to situate herself in an open, broad, and flexible space, where ideas are constructed or formed from their relationship in/with space, involving everything related to it, always giving great importance to color-form-space as a means of expression.
