Okela is a non-profit space created and managed by artists. It began its journey in 2014, with the aim of activating the context of contemporary art in the Basque Country and generating transversal relationships between visual and plastic artists, identifying the gaps in the nearby network and generating other ways of doing things.

Okela is currently managed by Izaro Ieregi, Irati Urrestarazu and Sahatsa Jauregi, together with the artists who are accomplices and collaborators who support the project.
