halfhouse 2017

The technical committee of eremuak and members of Halfhouse, awarded the Halfhouse 2017 residency to Jorge Núñez de la Visitación.

eremuak, in collaboration with Halfhouse, was calling for applications for a residency for artists from or residents in the Basque Autonomous Community. The proposal aims to support artists and/or creators working in the context of the visual arts.

The residency took place between July 1st and September 3th in the Halfhouse space in Barcelona, and culminated with the Abdution Scars exhibition by the artist at the same venue, which was inaugurated on September 2nd.

Halfhouse is a non-profit space that develops projects within the artistic sphere. Since its founding in 2009, and through 2018, the project has been developed in the home of its pioneers, artists Sinéad Spelman and Alberto Peral. During this time, national and international artists have presented their work and led workshops at Halfhouse, with artist residencies having always been an important aspect of the space’s activities. Since 2016, Halfhouse has had a collaborative residency agreement with eremuak to invite an artist and/or creators from the Basque Country each year.
