the walking reading group (TWRG)

The Walking Reading Group is a project that promotes the exchange of knowledge intimately and dynamically through the discussion of texts while we walk together. In this reading group, the street replaces the table and the dominant voice is replaced with the sound of conversation companions speaking at the same time. Anyone can take part in the walks, which are free of charge.

The texts, the different disciplines and formats have been established beforehand and formed the backbone of the exchange. We will set out from one location and walk for about two hours in pairs, changing both conversation partners and subject matter on several occasions. Apart from the texts, personal experiences, projects associated with the area and the route itself will provide subject matter for the conversations.

The Walking Reading Group will begin in Bilbao on March 13, 14 and 15. The subject we will read about and talk about is the public space viewed from the perspective of playLydia AshmanAnia Bas and Simone Mair have selected the texts (chapters, essays, videos) and Zaramari has collaborated by setting the specific routes for the walks.

Shall we walk together?

If you want to take part, please fill in the following form and we will get in touch with you in order to send you the texts and other practical information.
