ALL THE WANDERED SOULS will form tomorrow’s council
the bodies will be communal
you will believe in notoriety
and I say:
Unicorns exist
“Adarbakarra,” a proposal that joins the wave trying to put the pen to the Basque language, and why not, to the gudari. In other words, it is a creative project whose objective is to investigate Basque imagery and references from a contemporary, queer-feminist perspective. Based on the poem “Adarbakarra” from the short story “Esnatze basa” by Maite Aizpurua and the intersection of contemporary music by Garazi Navas, we will create a performance halfway between a poetic performance and a concert. Humor and poetry, interdisciplinary experimentation, and the visibility of current reflections and perspectives on Basque stereotypes are the core of the project, using the unicorn monster as a poetic excuse. What can it, the most globalized and capitalized mythological being of all time, tell us about us?
We’ve asked ourselves what the hell it means to create contemporary musical theater, and we’ve set about it! We’ll combine classical, popular tradition, and contemporary trends in terms of repertoire, stage aesthetics, working methodology, and artistic languages. And along the way, we’ll dedicate the time and care needed to forging your own paths of creation and expression.
