Inaugural film

“Inaugural film” investigates the audiovisual possibilities of the celestial landscape inspired by the observational practice of the Roman augurs. I set out to find connections between these and other elements of contemporary culture, history and etymology linked to the observation of the sky, and the medium of film itself. I materialise that exploration through two lines of production: first, a film as an experimental-filmic essay and second, a zenithal screening environment conceived to be presented in an exhibition format.
