“PLAN” is a structure created by artist Karlos Martínez Bordoy that acts as an organism inserted into a host corporation. This approach alters the traditional conditions of both entities and offers a new perception of the world. This art space seeks to integrate itself into other contexts, defying conventional auditoriums and halls by establishing a silent, mysterious setting. Its appeal lies in this break from the classic concept of an exhibition. What’s more, it moves into the virtual environment of the internet, which allows for an exhibition that strays from the simplification of online galleries, opening up dimensions of sensory experience. In this way, “PLAN” reconnects with the body and activates new ways of coming together in a world in constant transformation, exploring the simultaneity and richness of what surrounds us.
The “PLAN” website activation project seeks to expand and strengthen the critical and dynamic focus of what has defined this initiative since its beginnings as a pilot programme in 2019. With the creation of a virtual space, a meeting point for agents presenting concrete proposals is established, encouraging collaborative dialogues and weaving networks of interaction and co-creation. Each season, a multifaceted programme is offered to welcome diverse projects, all of which functioning autonomously and without limitations in terms of content and duration. As such, each offering’s cycle will conclude when its natural interest abates, being reborn with the power of a supernova, spawning new initiatives and evoking the symbol of a phoenix rising from the ashes. The platform will act as a living archive, where the results of projects will be exhibited for a determined period of time, maximising their narrative and visual capacities. By presenting the projects independently, like sleeping cells in a domino effect, a dynamic flow is created that feeds the continuity of creation. “PLAN” is built not just as an exhibition space, but also as an innovative laboratory where production and dissemination intermingle, creating new ways of meeting and reflecting in a world in constant evolution.
