The Walking Reading Group will begin in Bilbao on March 13, 14 and 15. The subject we will read about and talk about is the public space viewed from the viewpoint of playLydia AshmanAnia Bas and Simone Mair have selected the texts (chapters, essays, videos) and Zaramari has collaborated by setting the specific routes for the walks.

Shall we walk together?

If you want to take part, please fill in the following form and we will get in touch with you in order to send you the texts and other practical information. Here are the meeting points and timetables (remember that there are resting points along the routes).

The first walk will last from 6 PM to 9 PM. We will meet in Plaza Rekalde (under the bridge).

Saturday 14

In the morning we will converse while we walk from 11 AM to 1:30 PM. We will start out from the Plaza del Funicular (if it rains, we will meet in the Funicular station).

Then, about 2 PM we will eat together at the #Karpinteria. If you feel motivated, join in. Bring whatever you want to eat, we will provide the basics: bread, serviettes, water, oil ….La Karpintería is in Calle Cortes 29-31, 4ºF

From 4 PM to 7 PM in the Karpinteria, Lydia Ashman, Ania Bas and Simone Mair will lead the workshop “The Reading Walking Group just like you want it”(*). We will explore the format of the walks questioning in a playful way the rules, responsibilities and ways of walking. It will be in English – don’t be afraid – will try to make ourselves understood and help each other in whispers.

(*) The title and workshop are inspired in Juegos para actores y no actores by Augusto Boal.
