Pamplona, 1980. Gained a PhD in History of Art from the University of the Basque Country with the thesis titled Bodies Which Appear: Performance and Feminism During the Late-Franco Period (2014). She holds a Master of History of Art from UNAM and a degree in History of Art from the University of the Basque Country. She has taught in several public and private institutions. As an art critic, she has published in specialist magazines and exhibition catalogues. She has been the editor of Pipa, a specialist publication on contemporary art, critical theory and feminism, since 2012. Since 2014, she has been part of the Southern Conceptualisms Network. She is currently conducting postdoctoral research at UNAM’s Aesthetic Research Institute under the project Intersubjectivity and Transference: Towards an Aesthetic of the Incalculable.
Her research looks at the intersections between feminist theories and both contemporary art and visual culture, and in particular at performance practices, the body and performativity
