eremuak, in collaboration with Omi International Arts Center, is calling for applications for an international residency for artists from or resident in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country who have been professionally active for at least the past 3 years. The call aims to support the global promotion of artists and/or creators working in the visual arts.

The residency takes place in Art Omi, in Ghent, a rural town in the state of New York, where artists from across a wide variety of disciplines come to experiment, collaborate and share ideas.

eremuak covers the travel expenses of the selected artist and provides a travel allowance of €500. The artist also enjoys a private studio, shared living quarters and free meals during the residency.

After assessing the entries from the finalists, the international judging panel from Art Omi awarded the residency in Art Omi to Iñaki Garmendia. The residency took place from June 15th to July 11th 2017 in Ghent, a rural town in the state of New York.
