in gura

In, the oral expression of the verb egin in Basque, means to create, make, finish, think, direct and work. On the other hand, gura has meanings such as to desire, to be eager to do something, to have a wish. Between the words in and gura, there is an attempt to embrace, surround something (inguratu). A desire to look at something up closer.

When we see the commitment that the artist has to her work, a special trust is created with that person. Amaiur, Estéfana and JK wish to maintain a commitment in their approach to their artistic practice, thus the decision to bring the three of them together in the same room.

In gura could be the quick way of saying that someone is eager to do something.

workshop

06/07/2023 => 11:00 – 13:00
Duration: 2 h

Workshop given by the IN GURA artists for children and adults who want to participate. It will be based on an exercise of question and reaction. At the start of the session a series of questions will be handed out so that they can generate an oral, written, audiovisual or graphical reply. To set it in motion, a tour of the surroundings of Agurain is proposed.

It is an invitation for them to look for something in the questions.

Could you identify something you don’t know how to do, but which you still do?
